Meet the Team Behind Leadville Motor Lodge

At Leadville Motor Lodge, we're more than just hosts; we're passionate adventurers who decided to trade our desk jobs for a life in the great outdoors. Allow us to introduce ourselves: I (Ting) come from a background in asset management, while Dan, my partner, boasts extensive experience in developing real estate and commercial rental properties. However, when the pandemic hit, we found ourselves yearning for a change—a change that would allow us to pursue our shared love for nature and exploration.

Our journey led us further west, deeper into the heart of the majestic Colorado mountains. We had always frequented Leadville for its exceptional hiking, off roading trails, and backcountry skiing opportunities, often accompanied by our pup Wasilla. Our trusty camper was our home away from home, but there was one little luxury we missed after a few days in the mountains: a hot, 30-minute shower. It was then that we discovered there aren’t a ton of pet friendly affordable lodging options available.

In early 2021 during pandemic, we purchased the motel formerly known as Mountain Peaks Motel, and now Leadville Motor Lodge. Over the course of the first year, we dedicated ourselves to upgrading the property, ensuring that our guests would have a comfortable and welcoming stay amid the breathtaking beauty of the Colorado mountains.

Nestled amidst towering 14ers waiting for your conquering spirit, our lodge offers quick access to a world of adventure. Whether you're into hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skiing, off-roading, or mountain biking, you'll find the trails and terrain you crave just a short 10-minute drive away.

In our free time, we love riding our dirt bikes adventure bikes, snowbikes, super motos, you get the idea…. And of course, there's our spoiled dog Wasilla who loves hiking, barking for no good reason, and croissants… We feel incredibly fortunate to call this home, and we're genuinely excited to share the unforgettable experiences it has to offer with you.
